InfantSee® is a public health program that provides a one-time, no-cost, comprehensive eye and vision evaluation for infants between the ages of 6-12 months. Many eye and vision disorders can be identified in infants and this program was started to aid in an earlier diagnosis for children who are at risk for blinding eye diseases and vision disorders that may interfere with the development process. Thorough evaluation will require dilation and is NOT harmful to the infant. Dr. Schara is a provider for this program and truly believes in the early detection and prevention of eye and vision disorders in children.
